Cisco Packet Tracer 6.0.1 for Windows: No Tutorials Needed to Practice Networking, IoT, and Cybersecurity Skills
Packet Tracer is not perfect at simulating real world networking devices, but it is useful for showing students the complexity of network topologies and for teaching students about switches and routers, the OSI model, IP addressing, and IP routing.
Cisco Packet Tracer 6.0.1 for Windows (no tutorials) download
Cisco Packet Tracer is an industry leading simulator that can emulate Cisco routers and switches. Using Packet Tracer students learn about IP addressing, routing and the OSI Model. Packet Tracer provides a network topology editor, which can be used to create simulated networks. The product is available on a variety of platforms. It is bundled with most Cisco products and can be downloaded for free.
Packet Tracer lets you create and simulate networks. You use Packet Tracer to build and interact with virtual networks that contain both Layer 3 and Layer 2 topologies. You can simulate a complete IP network with LAN, WAN, and internetworking. The environments give students a way to interact with working IP routing tables and Layer 2 models of network topologies. It helps students practice the OSI model and IP addressing and routing.
PT Anywhere can be installed on a server. A web browser runs the application. All commands and data are sent over the Web. PT Anywhere is a web application designed to offer a network simulation environment based on Cisco Packet Tracer engine throug a web interface which can be accessed from a web browser. PT Anywhere can as such be integrated inside a website, an online course, a learning systm like moodle... It has been developed by the Open University and Cisco and has been funded by the FORGE project.
